Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress actor, comedian, activist) is a comedian. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her acting career as a young person just after moving to the United States. She is best known for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020 (from). Apart from commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played regularly featured on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. At the age of two her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties resulted in her appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. After her sophomore year, she quit and obtained a GED. She continued to get the Bachelor of Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
